Coorg also known as (Kodagu) is located on the Western ghats near Bangalore, Karnataka. It is one of the well known tourist spot in South India. Coorg is well connected by road with Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore and with Wayanad.
We have been to Coorg on last April with our friends family in our car. On the way to coorg we visited Dubare Elephant Training Camp, there we had fun to see many elephants. We also dropped in to Tibetan Buddhist Golden Temple near kushalnagar, its architecture was attractive.
In the evening we checked into Hotel Coorg International, it was a best hotel for a restful stay. The rooms were really large with comfortable double bed and a balcony with sofas, seating arrangements for us to rest in.
We have a big multicuisine restaurant in the ground floor. The staffs and waiters are well mannered. The food served there was very delicious with reasonable cost.
Next day we went sight seeing to Abbey falls which is 8 Kms from Madikeri which is located inside Coffee plantations, there is a hanging bridge near the falls. Then we returned to Rajas seat one of the major tourist attraction of Coorg, it is a big garden with seasonal flowers. We had a great time with our family at the garden.
On the third day of our trip we went to Thalakaveri, it is located on Brahmagiri hill which is fully surrounded by mist. It is 1260 m from the sea level. It is considered as the Holy place because the river Kauvery originates from here. There are steps leading to the top of the hill to see the viewpoint. From there we reached Nagarhole national park also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park. The park has dense forest range with hills and waterfalls. We returned to our home town.
Coorg is really amazing place to enjoy with our family. Best hotels are available as per our budget. When speak about safety it is a best place we can feel safe. Really it a fabulous place for nature lovers.
