Best place I have ever visited!!

Hey guys today I am going to rate this place. Coorg is located the western ghats in the southwest part of karnataka.It is also known as the Scotland of India.


Emerald green till where our eyes can see, coorg as it is more famouly known is a must visit destination in karnataka, India.Madikeri is the district headquaters of coorg and also chief town and transport hub. Coorg has a very moderate climate all year round, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 34 C in summer and 14 to 29 C in winters.Its altitude is in the range of 3500 ft above sea level.


The gorgeous landscape of Coorg is of rolling hills with acres of coffee Plantations intermittently dotted with lush teakwoodand sandalwood forests. The villages and hamlets here exude a forever ambience, timeless in their beauty.


Known the world over for its acres of coffee plantations, these also are the prime attraction of kodagu. It is but natural coffee and spice production are the major economic activitues of the region.


The climate and the landscape make coorg perfect for long walks, terksband its rich fauna make ita a paradise for birdwatchers. The various plantations of coorg are the major go-to relaxation destination for ones loiking to soak in the beauty of nature in peaceful environs.


With an old charm if its own, Coorg is known for festiwlike keli poldy, Cauvery Shankarama and Huttari festival.


If you go by air the nearest airport is mangalore, which is 159 km away and international airport is in Banglore which is 259 KM away.


If you want to come here with rail then the nearest railhead are Mangalore, Hassan, Mysore and Thalasserry. Manglore is the neatest one.


If you come by road then coorg is well connected by K.S.R.T.C buses from all over karnataka, particularly it is connected to the cities Mysore( 125 KM) , Bagalore( 259 KM) and Mangalore ( 159 KM) .


The main tourist attractions are-


1.Tadiandomal, Brahmagiri and pushpagiri peaks.


2.Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe


3.Madikeri Fort.


4.Raja’s Tomb.


5.Omkareshwar Temple


6.NaLakunad Palace


7.Abbey Falls.


8.Raja’s Seat


9.Kaveri Nisargadhama which is about 30kms from Madikeri


If you dont visit all these tourist place then it is like wast of time in Coorg. Once again don’t miss this nine places.


We stayed here for only one week that is seven days in hotel Club Mahindra.I will refer you all also to visit Club Mahindra. Its a wonderful resort and also comfort was mind blowing. So when you visit Coorg please don’t forget to visit this Ten places.
