Viking Saga

True to Scandanavia’s viking style, Copenhagen Intnl airport is truly world class with 3 terminal buildings. The information is well displayed all over the place. The staff are very courteous and operations are very smooth.

It is again a very busy terminal with a lot of nordic & Baltic air traffic. Like major european airports, the duty free shopping zone is attractive for chocolates and alcohol. Very tasty bakery delights for those who want to grab a quick bite.

Currency exchange, VAT refund, telecom, you name it and its an absolutely smooth ride. One thing to bear in mind is the location of the airport. It is quite a distance away from the Copenhagen Business centres. Time is not a major issue but even taxiing is an expensive affair. No matter which part of Copenhagen you want to go to, be prepared to shell out at least DKK 250/-.

Immigration etc is not at all an issue. Whether its the ground staff, janitors or counter operators, they are absolutely punctual to the tick of the clock. So for people who follow Indian Stretchable Time, beware as you may be stranded at Copenhagen for a day if you miss the deadline even by a minute.
