The first n foremost thing that I love about the magazine is the attitude that is manifested throughout the whole magazine and into each n every little piece you read.
I’m not a staunch feminist but I’m also not one of those doormat kinds. I believe in independence & confidence a person has to possess. And take my word for it… ‘Cosmopolitan’ is the magazine that is designed just to the task.

I came across this magazine first when I was around sixteen and my parents response at my reading the magazine had been… is this the stuff for young girls? Or something along the lines of is this the kind of stuff well bought up girls read?
But believe me… It ain’t as bad as people with so called conservative n traditional outlook paint it to be.
OK! Certain stuff some might say is not for 16 or 17 year olds like Sex & Love, Cosmos KamaSutra etc. But pardon me… I’m of a different opinion not just for the heck of it but also because it’s ‘no big deal’ to know such stuff. After all, It’s just info…
Moreover, it’s not just those particular things that the magazine contains.
The regular columns like ‘On My Mind’, ‘Cosmo Living’ and ‘Agony’ (I sometimes wonder if the agonies are imaginary n if it really happens… but it’s an interesting read anyway) are a good read.
The perception the magazine seems to have towards each n every individual is amazing. I also like to check out the latest fashion, finance, health n beauty material that’s available in the magazine.
It’s not the stuff that you read n what it contains but how you take it is what’s important.
Cosmopolitan is one magazine in many that can or at least seems to identify with every individual and each particular person can find something or the other she can relate to. Unlike most it doesn’t seem to generalize opinions but seems to personalize them. But it definitely is pretty superficial. Now I do seem to be pretty contradictory in my point of view but I mean it in different aspects... if you get what I mean (i hope you do).
Nevertheless that’s my empirical n personal viewpoint n others might not agree but I guess this is what this entire site is about ‘giving your own opinion’.
