Just a hop, skip and jump from where I live, this mall is definately Brookefields answer to a decent hangout. Housing many women’s favorite haunt, ’Body Shop’ and an extremely well stocked Thai Lingerie shop with ’Indian’ sizes (Can this really happen?), this mall is a must for people who want good stuff, alongwith good value for money. Although the place over-doses on clothes outlets, the benefit would be a Loot mart for Bargains, a Pantaloons for affordable fashion and your Jealous, Urban Yoga etc for the picky.
The book shop has an extra large kiddie section along with desks/stationary for kids with a creative bent of mind. It stocks a load of knick knacks and nice -to-haves v/s books. The dollar store in Cosmos is by far the best I have seen in Bangalore. The stocks are good and the variety is great. The mall also has a beauty salon called Star &Sitara.(Why the slimy name?) For your regular head massage and basics the place is pretty good and they have a lot of offers where you can save money. If you looking for skilled areas like a facial, haircut, etc...then traveling to Garuda or Forum would be a better bet.
The food on the top floor is pretty oki though exorbitantly priced. If you would rather have a drink and snacks along with food, the sportbar on the same floor is the place to be. The snacks they have are very good, and they do have a decent mix of cocktails. The grocery store, though is a nightmare when it comes to fresh fruits and veges along with service.The Mall is still trying to steady itself and you will have an outlet today, gone tomorrow...but on the whole, a pretty nice place to relax your post Sunday/pre-monday morning nerves.
