I bought the country club Rs 15, 000 membership as soon as I landed in Bangalore, taken in by their glim salesman. However, as soon as I paid the amount the Country club salesman disappeared. Now when I call their main office, they asked me to upgrade my membership to new schemes, which cost 75, 000 or more, with supposedly a plot given free, otherwise they can’t do anything, as the scheme given to me is no longer available.
Also, I was promised that I would be given 1-yr free membership of their health club and my membership cards would be couriered to me. However, I have not got anything till today even after 5 months. Two months after joining I went with my wife to Outer Ring Road (near Intel) Country Club for a buffet Lunch. It was a pathetic experience. They charged us 120 Rs per plate for something worse than a cheap dhaba food with just 2 curries, half cooked rotis, cheap-quality rice, watered curd and stale salad. And we are supposed to be members of a Club. The total meal would have cost me no more than Rs 40 in a Lunch corner just outside the club.
Beware of the Country Club and never ever give them credit card number. Country Club is a complete fraud!!
