I had the terrible experience of having my lunch at at country club, Mysore while returning from a short trip to Ooty. I had heard about country club earlier, so just by seeing the signboard on the road side, I thought it should be a decent place. To the contrary I found place to be shabby and poorly managed. Some guys (not guys .. actually .. they were looking like cheap drunkards) were drinking liquor very near to the dining area.. were continuously watching the stupid girls in the pool. Just by seeing their menu (cheap looking laminated paper) I got the idea what kind of place it is.
I confirmed if this is the actual resort called country club and yes it was the so called country club. They don’t have any idea on how such resorts should be designed. They just have assembled many things together : The pool, bar, snooker, table tennis dining .. in a small area. Must be brain child of some perfect idiot. They even don’t maintain basic level of cleanliness. The feeling was like a road side "dhaba" where you go if you don’t find any other decent place.
So my verdict is to avoid this and not to fall in the trap.
