Country club (CCIL) - Cheating Club India Limited

This is Cyril and my country club membership number is DT410732.


When I became member, I was told that I can pay the membership fee of Rs.78222 by my SCB credit card and country club will make arrangements to get me a credit card from SBI.  After I get my SBI credit card, I can pay the same using SBI credit card and country club will return me the amount I paid using SCB credit card so that I can pay the SCB credit card bill.


Because country club has some tie-up with SBI, the amount I pay using SBI credit card can be converted into 0% interest EMI for 36 months. I believed it and paid Rs.78222 by SCB card. After that, no one called me to help me apply for SBI credit card. I tried to call Mr. Sunil, who is a manager, country club of Sarjapur Road, at his mobile number at 89042 12860 at least for 5 subsequent days. It was always switched off. Then I called another executive at 89701 10888 (I do not remember his name).


He gave some customer care number 080-42077303 and asked me to call it. I called up and no one picked it up.  Finally, my due date for SCB card is approaching and I am finding a way to pay this Rs.78222.


At the time of taking membership, I was told that I can book studio-typed room in any country club across India. I don’t have to pay anything except for annual fee of Rs.6000 which includes free pick-and-drop, laundry services, etc. When I tried to book after taken membership, they said I will have to pay Rs.700 for tax (which means Rs.700 x 7 days = Rs.4900). I was never told that I will have to pay such a big amount of tax when I opt for stay.  Even pick-and-drop facility is not free.  Even the maintanance fee of Rs.6000 was told to be optional and should be paid only when I use their facility, but in the stamp paper documentation they had mentioned that I should pay it whether I use it or not.


At the time of taking membership, I was told that I can rent out my membership to others who can use the stay at country club and country club will make arrangements for renting and selling.  Now, I am told that I have to do it only through personal contacts and country club will not help me at all.


These are the things I found out so far in the first 2 weeks. I am yet to uncover more.  I am planning to sue against this Country Club for cheating and a case against Mr. Sunil. I was waiting for my original receipt which I got yesterday and am looking for a good advocate.  They should be taught some lesson.
