Not worth a single star:( - So called AMERICAN BONANZA UPGRADE WITH FLIGHTS - Imagine the plight of the Regular American Bonanza:)
Cox & Kings took us for a royal ride after paying close to 10000$ for a US trip.
Signing off an agreement which is a legal document where in you waiver off all your voice & rights. This document is forced to sign three months before the tour.
All payments taken 45 days prior to the tour.
Hotel details not provided till the day we travel leaving you with no choice to discuss.
No help with immigration or flights. In spite of group booking families made to sit separately. No food arrangement made for a 16hr long flight.
Kept all of us in total ambiguity about how the tour will be conducted.
Mr PP(who is on a tourist visa in USA and works illegally), totally illiterate guide receives us in New York who could not utter a word in English. He had zero knowledge about USA although he claims to have been a tour guide for many years.
Out of the 13 day tour, we spent 6 days traveling by "COACH" for an average of 12hrs. On other days we were waiting for 5hrs at airports for connecting flights. Having paid well in advance, even the shortest flight journey was booked through connecting flights to save some penny and ensure the whole day is lost in travel. Which means late check in at the hotel and early check out.
Having signed off a document three months in advance we had to accept that all the hotels are at a minimum of two hours away from the city.
When we tried voicing our opinion with Ms Revathy, we were told we have signed the contract and effectively given up our rights to voice our disapproval. After a lot of persistence, we were finally connected with Mr Himanshu(Head of Dubai Operations) who had the audacity to say "we(`cox and kings) never asked you to book with us, instead you came to us." Instead of helping us or salvaging the situation, he asked us to prove where in writing have they mentioned that internal flights will be direct or hotels will be within city limits.
After the tiring bus journey each day, when we reach the hotel we were subjected to mental torture of witnessing the altercations between our guide and hotel employees.
Practically everyday the Buffet Breakfast was sub standard and separately organized for C&K guests, while the regular hotel guests enjoyed a better spread. We were often treated like third class citizens at these buffet places. Dinner was organized at the shadiest and cheapest of Indian Restaurant options available in the city.
The highlight of the tour Disney Magic Kingdom & Universal Studio tickets were brought at the last minute making us wait for an hour and ensuring that we do not get to enjoy all the rides.
Overall our tour ended with seeing a few places through the "COACH WINDOW" with few hurried photo stops here and there.
I have summarized these points based on a collective experiences of the group members who were part of this ordeal called "AMERICAN BONANZA UPGRADE WITH FLIGHTS"
We chose Cox & Kings assuming it had some reputation but having experienced their dismal service and torture first hand, will never recommend C&K to even our enemies.
Mr Himanshu, considering you being the Head of Dubai Operations, you have zero business acumen or etiquette to take this organization forward. If the head of an organization chooses to stoop so low, one cannot expect people like Ms Revathy who work under him to be any different.
