I had recently taken a 8 days / 7 nights tour package on COX and KINGS and my experience is bad.
It is not Rajasthan Delight tour, it is Rajasthan Hectic travel tour. Poor itinery.
It is 5 days travel and three days sight seeing.
The 18 seater A/C bus provided could not cover more than 30 Kms.per hour on an average and therefore even distance of 225 Kms has taken whole day travel. From Jaipur to Jodhpur it was10 Hrs journey 330 Kms. From Jodhpur to Udaipur was again 10 Hrs journey 225 Kms.
Enroute there was one temple visit for 45 minutes. From Udaipur to Ajmer was 13 Hrs journey with 30 minutes at Pushkarni and 90 minutes at Ajmer Durgha. The vehicle provided was not at all fit for long journey travel.
- Another mess up in booking flight tickets. Their package ends with a break fast on last day but have booked my tickt for night 19.00 hrs flight Jaipu-Delhi and connection to Delhi- Chennai with hardly 45 minutes time lag between each flight. Though there is a direct flight from Jaipur Chennai @ 01.00 hrs by Air coasta, god only knows why they have choosen this flight.
Added to that they want to drop us at the air port by 10.00 A.M. for a flight for 19.00 Hrs. This is rediculas and I had a real fight and then they provided a vehicle to drop me @ 5.00 P.M. Since the jet connect flight to Delhi was delayed by 30 minutes, they changed my flights from Jaipur to Mumbai 20.55 Hrs and from Mumbai to Chennai 03.55 Hrs on next day morning. We reached Chennai by 05.00 A.M thus spending whole night of12 Hrs in travel.
The tour guide was very rigid and not co-operative and not infromative. In the last day when we took our own local tour to see some important temples, to our surprize, these spots were very close to out sight seeing places. We had time and we even requested the guide but of no use.
In all 8 days, COX and Kings has took us to 9 places and rest all travel by bus. The value for money is not there with COX and KINGS. Hoping that I have booked a premium tour package, it was a disappointment. It was not even to the class of ordinary tour packages from other operators.
I won’t suggest cox and kings to anyone.
