If you want to learn a thing or two about filmmaking, narrating a story, making actors perform and of course editing - then Crash is the course for you.

The film is a brilliant lesson in all the things mentioned afore and much more.

Contrasting to the title of the film, Crash is more a metaphor for the lifestyle of the people the story is about.

More often than not if a story has so many characters, it usually goes haywire and none of the parallel plots make sense. But Crash is wonderfully scripted and each story moves along just beautifully.

The film starts with a cop duo investigating a murder that has happened and it ends with that too - like a full circle.

The basic emotion running like an undercurrent through the entire film is that of racism. America might be the biggest country in the world, but when it comes to human problems it is the same as in every other country.

The white people do not respect the black community and the blacks being the minority are never safe in an all white dominated community.

In the cast the known names are Sandra Bullock and Brendan Frasier but have not been treated like stars.

The interesting thing in the film, never mind me saying it again, is the way each character gets linked to the other in a way not hindering when the story moves forward.

Apart from the cinematic brilliance as citizens of the world too there is a thing or two to learn. To have more patience and be considerate towards others.

Like Sandra Bullock says in the film - ’’I am angry when I get up and I am angry at everyone and everything’’. We need to in our hectic lives learn to take it easy at times and not let our negative energy pass on to others.

It is so easy to let out our anger not realizing that it may just lead to a chain reaction.

So next time have a little more empathy when it comes to either racism or to just being noble and considerate.

In the meantime do go and watch Crash if you still haven’t.
