I went there with 6 friend . I stay at Marinedrive but rarely visit this place because of the long waiting period. But once we just felt like trying it out. After waiting for 30 minutes we finally got our seat. And we ordered soup and starters. Everything seem quite perfect till now. But soon the soup arrived and I am the types who would walk a few hundred meters rather than push a cabbie into a crowded lane. So I of course understand the ’peak’ hour(21:30) woes but here, the soup was served and even before we barely had started with the soup, they got the nachos! I said its so rude to get the starters barely when we started with he soup. We ordered other startes too but since they take time to make, they didnt mind getting the nachos on the table and let them be soggy by the time we finish with the soup. So I called the server and asked him to get it after we finish with the soup and also told him I never would want them to lose some business while we are talking on the table and so will not be taking alot of time but atleast we deserve the basic time to finish something! And he gave that foxy smile and tried giving me the rhetoric crap pointing at the people waiting outside! I said even I was the part of the same crowd few minutes back! Now since we have taken place and ordered food and confirmed the business, our importance is gone! Also if he had got the garlic bread for instance and kept it in advance, I wouldnt have minded it, but nachos become soggy with time and I don’t like them that way!
So then he reluctantly took it back and after sometime whether he should get it and I said yes but then we were waiting for the next starter and sometime later I asked him about the status of the other starter, he gave that foxy smile telling me he was waiting when I ask him to get the next starter! So if the soup has been cleared and starters are already coming why he has to act smart about the next starter!I didn’t really mind his attitude as I realized such ’well-known’ names still employ uneducated or educated illiterates who militate against their own brand value!
For a restaurant of this stature I never expected such dhaba style attitude. Hope they understand the value of service.
