The best upgrade to your ipod.

Apple IPod and almost all other personal music players comebundled with terrible tinny earphones that rather limit your listening pleasure.

Anyone who loves their music is forced to buy another set of headphones / earphones.

Creative EP 630 is the best value for money earphones you can get in the market at this moment.

Sennheiser CX300 matches Creative EP630 in audio quality... at 3 times the price.I would give these earphones 5 stars, but I have subtracted one star for each of the stupid defects detailed in the cons section. This is the second pair that I have bought... The first pair died when theygot tangled on someone and he yanked it hard to get free.

On my second pair, the silicone ear buds just keep falling off, and I am using the largest size now.I swear I am extremely careful, but they just drop off when I least expect themto. And being tiny and black in color, they are impossible to find.I have verified the Pros and Cons with my friends before posting them here.

PROS:

Here’s why these earphones are worth your hard earned money.

1. Superb Audio Quality: I get really lost in my music thanks to theseearphones. :)

(Requires around 20 hours of burn in before the bass really comes out inall its depth)

2. CableLength is just right.

3. Cable is oxygenfree. This means no signal distortion or loss in the cable, which happens incheaper products.

4. 3 sizes ofear buds, one of which will surely fit in your ears.

To get a tight fit for maximum noise isolation, open your mouth; pullyour ear upwards with one hand while you insert the ear bud in your ear in a twisting motion.I am not joking. :-|

5. Good noiseisolation if you follow the procedure described above. You don’t have tocrank up the volume much while you are in a bus or any other noisy environment.

6 Goldplated connector jack: supposed to ensure perfect contact, but doesn’t helpmuch as you will find out below.

CONS:

1. Silicone Earbuds fall off: You only get a pair of each size, and when you lose oneyou have to use one of the uncomfortable sizes. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL when youplace the earphones in your pocket and when you take them out. And in spite ofmy being so careful, this is happening to me the third time. :( Truth is, I have a life and many more expensive things to take care of, like myiPod, mobile phone, sunglasses and laptop.

2. EarphoneCable is extremely tacky: Cable ALWAYS gets badly entangled nomatter how carefully you place these in your pocket or pouch. You have to spenda minute to untangle the cable. Creative should make chewing gum from thissilicone. It is really irritating to untangle the cable everytime I want tolisten to some music.

3. Cable getsstuck on other objects: The cable has gotten hooked on other objects andthe earphones are yanked out of my ears forcefully. Painful.

Picture this.. you are sitting in your chair listening to your favourite music, your ipod is in your pocket, and you get up..! The cable hookedon your chair / mouse / keyboard / knee and were yanked out of your ears withforce. Thank goodness it didnt pull my ipod out.Other places where the cables have hooked: Edge of table, bus conductor’sbadge, cubicle mate’s glasses.... :)

4. UselessGold plated connector jack : After a few months, the gold plating wearsout, and you have to keep adjusting and fiddling with the jack due to thedistortion. After the dealer refused to replace my earphones, I bought a 3.5mmjack for 15 rs and soldered it on my own. Worked great for a year. :)

Overall I recommend these earphones to anyone who loves their music.Shame on Creative for ruining such a great product with such stupid defects.
