I bought the Creative Labs NOMAD II MG about 2 months ago, and it is probably the best MP3 in the market today.
It is a well designed system. It comes with a docking station ( Or travellers cable ), and a wired remote ( or LCD remote ) and 64 MB onboard memory, a set of earphones and a set of backphones. It can play MP3 and WMA files. One can also be used to access FM radio via the NOMAD II MG, as well as to record voices( It has a built-in microphone )It uses 2 AAA batteries, and can hold Solid State Floppy Disc (SSFDC) SmartMedia cards ( The highest capacity today is 128MB ). It averages about 10-12 hours for a pair of AAA batteries.
Price?? It costs about Rs. 18, 000 for the player, Rs. 600 for a pair of Energizer AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, and about Rs. 5000 for a 64MB SmartMedia card.
It comes with Creatives EAX sound presets, and allows you to adjust bass or treble. You can also apply Time Scaling to recordings to speed up or slow down the play-back of your recordings.
It comes with Creatives PlayCenter 2 (PC) and Sound Jam MP (MAC).
All software can be upgraded.
Also, htere is a limited edition 256MB NOMAD II MG available now, although, at $700, is a little on the pricey side.
