I am quite surprised that there isn’t a seperate category for the MuVo slim, its certainly a class apart... hehe, About the player...it is a flash disk cum mp3 player cum FM radio cum voice recorder.
Good sound quality, 5 stars for the shape, imagine 7mm thick, its damn thin and light. In mp3 format (in a 256 MB player), 4 hrs of music can be stored.
However u get a converting software alongside which converts mp3 to wma thus halving the file size and giving me 8 hrs worth of music (HURRAH)
Connected to comp by USB cord and thus doesent require any drivers in XP. Hovever a driver is given for 98SE (USB supportive windows). It charges when connected to the computer and gives a 16 hrs playing music..so there is damn cool. However there are drawbacks...the shuffling is DAMN bad. I kept on getting the same song playing again and again after 5 songs..
You have to change the order of files on the comp to make it shuffle the way it is supposed to. And also another small bother is the less no. of buttons causing each button to do too many functions, its a slight bit of pain... Otherwise It behaves like a USB flash drive otherwise and using a USB cord can be connected to any XP comp in the world....There are 32 radio presets, for the future when we will have those many radio stations in Mumbai..For a more sensible opinion check out the Indian Creative Website. They have just stepped up their operations in India and hence u even have dealers in small towns (not all though).It supports mp3 wma wav blah blah, all the normal stuff. Now the cost front. MRP= 8000 INR. However I bought it an exibition for 6400only!!!
Comparing that to the samsung yepp it makes the yepp look like a baby and the umax vega as a worthless piece. Please see the snaps to understand its real worth.
I was on the look out for mp3 players for a very long time and found creative to be the best in the market.
