I’ve been using the Cred software for the last year. I first saw it while playing sports on tv.
I’ve paid my credit card bills more than once since then, but I’ve never received a penny in cashback or other incentive.
In addition, I always received no indication that it was time to pay my bills. As a result, I missed my payment deadline and had to pay a premium to my bank.
Often, when paying bills, the payment can fail and the app will prompt you to try again. This app does not make me happy.
Also, the app’s incentive shop is mainly full of worthless prizes or items. The benefits mentioned there aren’t particularly useful.
I used cred for a few months in 2020, but when I saw significant gaps in credit card payments, I avoided using it. Since the shady app wouldn’t let me delete my cards, I had to make several demands to get my card details removed from the app. Cred promised me that anything would be done, but I didn’t return to the app. After almost 8 months, I opened the app and was surprised to see that my card details were still there, and that CRED was still accessing my credit card spend and statements using any permissions provided previously. Since then, I’ve made some requests to cred for my data to be deleted. Although they have agreed to have access to my identification and credit card information, they have flatly refused to remove it. I’m not sure how to handle this, but the app will end up being a major embarrassment. My credit card number is in the hands of fraudsters. Don’t offer your credit card information to this app in exchange for any worthless cred coins. Here, the creator, as well as everyone else, is a con artist.
