Apollo Creed, the name sounds familiar, isn’t it?
Remember Rocky? That’s a hint.
Well this movie is about the son of Apollo Creed- Adonis Johnson. Adonis never had the chance to know his heavy weight boxing champion father- but boxing runs in his blood. One day he is doscovered by none other than Rocky Balboa, who sees in him the potential for a great boxer. Revealing more than this much storyline will be injustice.
Now about the cinematic appeals- The director Coogler has done his homework very well. He is here with all intentions of giving the audience the romance they have with boxing on screen. The flashbacks from the past and the current storyline bring in the perfect appeal of sensation into the minds of the audience. I totally enjoyed being part of the viewers. I cheered at parts with other people in the hall itself. It is a celebration for boxing movies.
