Indian Cricket Now

After the pakistan’s tour of india which ended on 17th April I have the following questions with me, Im trying to analyze that and trying to find somewhat a possible answer. I do recommend you guys to comment too.

1. Why does indian team lose matches from winning positions?

Best Batting lineup failed miserable against the so called inexperienced Pakistan side. Pakistan were inexperienced on the paper, but showed thorough professional work at the ground. But it was the indian lineup which is the most experienced on paper, behaved like some cheap club cricket team. Im sorry to comment badly about club cricket (Plz forgive me club members!).

India were 2-0 up in the one day series and went 2-4 to the pakistan. Inzamam during a press conference after the 2nd onedayer hoped that his team will bounce back and win the remaining 4 matches, and so did his side. I was thinking that inzamam is a wishful thinker, but he and his so called inexperienced proved everybody they are a better team.

Now letz analyze the word TEAM doesnt that sound good. But not so for the Indians. A team performs like a team when it matters and each player contributes in his own capacity, giving his 100% if he gets selected.

Im not going to name anybody and massacre them here. Everybody knows who had missed and who completely let down their team.

Pakistan batted brilliantly to score more than 300 runs in the 3rd one day match at jamshedpur. India felt cheaply to rana and were bowled out for 213 a win by pakistan by over 107 runs. Fine u can argue even the best team can lose some matches, ok ill take that into account.

Now letz look at the 4th match.

Bowlers were given a target of 300+ more runs to chase in the 4rd one day match the middle order batsmen from pakistan took the match away scoring more than 6 runs per over throughout the 50 overs. This is really awesome considering the in-experienced tag on the pakistan team.

Mr. Nehra and company bowled superbly to give pakistan their 2nd win of the tournament.

They were tied 2-2.

Fifth one dayer saw the top order of india back in pavilion very soon for relaxation. Mr. dravid and kaif gave some respectabality to the total to give india some fighting total of 249. Pakistan’s Afridi had other plans and he too went quickly to the pavilion playing 45 balls but the time he was there in the field he had massacred indian bowlers. Balaji and Nehra both were clobbered and smacked all over the park. India had already lost the match when afridi got out.

Sixth onedayer everybody hoped India would show some decent performance. Haaahaaa, Pakistan sealed the coffin for india and won the last match by 150 odd runs. Dismissing the Experienced, awesome batting lineup for 140 runs.

Now tell me who is the experienced team INDIA or PAKISTAN?

Any guesses??

2. Who is an Indian Captain?

Is it right that Saurav be dropped from the indian side till he regains form and confidence?? Well I tell you, the selectors are lenient in this aspect to give Saurav the choice of leading the side after he failed to score runs in the test matches. Saurav was lucky to be in the team, but he still scored runs less than a bowler.

Well the reason for not dropping him was that cricketers are humans and he is very good captain. Huhh, guys will the same be applicable to all of us??

Are we given a second chance if we do not perform in our work place?.

The industry we work does that give us a second chance to perform?

The entire team is still making money, losing to others. Is this applicable to us all?

Does our boss say:- Son you have not met the targets, ill give you ten more chances go and achieve them!

Dont say that sport is different!. Are they not playing it for money?

Well the selectors should not look at fame or personality in choosing players. They should look only at performance.

Lack of confidence and talent deserves a place back to the basics.

Well the board is still gonna do the same , they are not gonna change neither their selectors nor their selecting style

Huge Media attention leaves less attention on your work. You see captains and players busy giving interviews and match previews before the match. Is this really going to help

One Reporter from Headlines Today reported that M. DHONI is the indian version of ADAM GILCHRIST after his knock in the second onedayer. What happened to The indian gilchrist performance later is history!!!

Consistency is never gonna be in the indian team. Learn them from the Australians. I dont know whether Ricky Ponting acts like our cricketers in ads, earns money like our cricketers, but he delivers on the field.
