Pakistan Vs India

Without cricket I don’t how I would survive. Without cricket life would be so boring.

India played well to beat Pakistan, but they will have to take into account that they played a Pakistani side who are very new to each other.

I will make a few comments on some of the players for either side.

Sachin has once again proved why he is the world’s leading run scorer. Phenominal batsmen. He was overshadowed by some of the other Indian batsmen, but I don’t think that many Indian fans will complain about that.

Shoaib Akhtar on his day is themost destructive bowler you could imagine. But against India he didn’t seem as potent, I think that because they were playing on flat tracks he struggled. Maybe on bouncier wickets he may have had more success. His attitude leaves many question marks, but Pakistan cannot drop him no matter what.

Abdur Razzaq is a living bad boy in every way. Razzaq the mighty, has samshed the hell out of everyone over the last year. He’s been a one man demolition squad time and time again. I have no doubt he would have smashed the Indian bowlers, but as usual the stupid Pakistani think tank kept pushing him down the order. He did play a few brisk innings though. I hope he continues his devastating form into the future.

Irfan Pathan made his name this series. He is new to the game but he is definetly a star of the future.

Virendar Sehwag made an awesome triple century. He shouldn’t have even got to a hundred, but as usual he made Pakistan pay for dropping on several occasions. Please don’t no one tell him to change his aggressive approach. Like Afridi I think it would be quite easy to get him out. Bog him down, slow him and he’ll give his wicket away.

Inzamam was in the runs througout the one dayers but he didnt have as much luck in the tests. Pakistan’s main weakness over the years has been a lack of world clas batsmen but it does look promising now. Inzamam carried the weight of Pakistan on his big shoulders and he did it well, both with the bat and as a captain.

Rahul Dravid was magnificent, a true great. He was the anchor man in both ODIs and tests. He is the most vital component of this Indian side, without him I don’t think this batting line-up would work. ( Pakistan should take note and figure out how to get Dravid the rest will surely fall into place).

Yousuf Youhana is technically Pakistan’s best batsmen. He doesn’t always show it. I think he should realise how big his wicket is for Pakistan. Once he does this he will be up there with the greats.

There were many other great performances from the other players. Balaji was terrific with his late swing. Hameed has shown was a talent he is. Altogether it was an exciting ODI series followed by a dour test series. Look forward to Pakistan playing India in the Asia Cup and the ICC trophy. Hopefully Pakistan gain some experience and beat India.
