After losing the last test match against Pakistan there are few questions raised by the huge fans of the Team India.
1)Question against the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly.
2)Who is responsible for the loss
3)Do we need changes in the team
I would like to give full credit to the Pakistan team and Inzy captaincy for winning the final test and squaring the series 1-1.
The important toss was won by the Pakistan captain and rightly he decided to bat first. When they made a score of 570 the pressure was on the Indian team.
After that Pakistan’s great first innings Indians were playing only for a draw to win the series 1-0 (that was the first mistake).The body language of Indians was never positive right from day two.
Even though I am not for blaming anyone for losing the test match lets analyze...who is responsible for it
Is it Sourav Ganguly?
Most of us will say YES he is.
The Indian captain is struggling for form in this series and was not able to score runs. But in the second innings he would have stayed. He was never comfortable in the crease and finally got out Bowled to Afridi’s turing delivery.
Lets leave about his batting. The Indian captain allowed scoring quick runs in the second innings of Pakistan. I would consider thats the turning point of this test match.
Sachin?
The champion should have played like a champion. He went more on the defensive mode in the second innings and got out after spending 140 minutes.
VVS Laxman?
I would rate Laxman as the biggest culprit.In the first innings he did not shielded the tail-enders. And in the second inning he played a very lazy innings.Its high time to replace him with Yuvraj or Kaif.
Dravid?
The Great Wall of Indian Batting still to get a big score in Bangalore. We might not question on this man’s consistency. A rare poor performance.
Pathan?
The pitch was flat and was not supporting the seemers at all.In the bowling department I cant blame him. And about his batting....he is considered to be a budding all-rounder for India. Could have played a sensible knock in the first innings.
