The blame game

Greg Chappells decision to quit his post as the Indian coach comes in bad taste. This row over who is to be accountable for the early exit of the team from WC does not reflect well on the maturity level of each and every member of the cricket fraternity. Cricket being a team sport, should not have individuals coming out into the spotlight holding each other responsible for the loss.

Collective responsibility is the key word. And if Chappell could lash out at the players saying "This was the worst team we could take to the world cup", why didn’t he do something about it when it could have made a difference? It’s very easy to point fingers at others. On the brighter side of it, it’s good that someone (whose opinion matters) has actually come forward to express his views on the senior players in the team who should consider giving the fresh blood a chance. Guys, its time to take a break.
