I am thrilled!!
In fact, so happy that I could’nt write this review yesterday! Indian cricket is on the upswing guyz and it is time to celebrate! In my last review, I wrote about Indian batting which saved the day for us Vs. England in the finals of Natwest trophy. Imagine the delight of Indian’s when the bowlers, that too, the unorthodox ones literally snatched victory out of the hands of the south africans! This is truly a matter to celebrate and be proud of our cricket team. Atleast now, stop writing stinking reviews on our teams, fellas!
Virender Sehwag, man of the match yet again has won the title for his bowling!! Imagine the amount of thinking our team is doing on the field. Consider the same situation confronting the Indian team of 5 yrs ago and we would have lost it hands down or even tied! Lets face the fact! Indians have grown up to cricket and the present team has literally grown up on cricket. It was enthralling to watch them revel under the pressure when the hot favourites South Africans were withering out! In fact, the fielding became better under pressure.
Hey, this is sure a world cup winning squad! The best part is that for the third time in a row, on a day when sachin, saurav, kumble, and the seniors did not perform, we still managed to get at it and in what style!
In fact, we are teaching the world cricketing fraternity a lesson that it is younger players, who should rule the roost now. We are seeing live the fate of teams like West Indies, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Pakistan which are still unwilling to get in fresh ones- they are playing like veterans already! In fact, the australian team too is getting a bit too old!
Another delight for us is that Sri Lanka beat Australia as if they were some holland or bangladesh!! Yes, they have a home turf advantage, but the aussies are’nt so bad! It proves again that it is all a matter of morale and attitude. Lets keep our fingers crossed and see India thrash Sri Lanka tomorrow, i.e. Sunday- World cup, here we come!!
