I am writing my first review on any web series. I am sharing my opinion about the Hotstar Specials web series 'Criminal Justice'.
It is remake of a British web series. Trigmanshu Dhulia and Vikas Furia directed this series which comprises ten episodes. In starting 3-4 episode are directed well and story seems suspenseful but last other episodes are quite slow and boring. It is a story of a young cab-driver ( Vikrant Messey) who arrested in charge of rape and murder of a girl ( Madhurima Roy) . An advocate ( Pankaj Tripathi) helps him by searching the guilty person with the help of Anupriya Goenka, another advocate. And story continues with some other phases.
Partnership of Vikrant and Pankaj Tripathi rock in 'Mirzapur'and this time they performed in 'Criminal Justice'. The only plus point of this series is the performance of actors. Vikrant and Pankaj as usual, gives brilliant performance. Jackie Shroff looking very bold in Mustafas role. Anupriya Goenka performed very impressively but the main reason for boredom is the scarcity of suspense and straight storyline in ending episodes. Climax is very bad and do not make enough impression on viewers.
This series do not have much comedy scenes except role of Pankaj Tripathi who made the audience laugh. Dialogues are very impressive of every character but court room suspense are very less. At the end the planning and replay of murder mystery are not provided which makes the viewers unsatisfied. Sounds and music used in the series is good but it has a very bad screenplay. Storyline and climax could be more short and impressive but director Vikas Furia fails to do so. Starting episode directed excellently by Trigmanshu but ending episodes are not giving much satisfaction to the audience.
This could be more better in story but one can watch it to enjoy the bold acting and thrilled performances of actors.
