Crizal lenses from Essilor claims to be a superior anti glare lens with anti reflective , scratch resistance and smudge resistance properties. The anti glare and anti reflective lives upto the claims made and are effective in preventing eye fatigue to persons working on computers for long period of time. But the claim that it has anti smudge properties is totally false. In fact it gets more smudges than normal lenses even from eyelashes when it comes in contact with the lens. It is very irritating and needs constant polishing and cleaning. The scratch resistance property claimed by it also false.
I had bought the lens about three months back and it already has significant number of scratches despite it being cleaned by Crizal supplied cleaning fabric. The lens were bought for Rs 2700 and frankly they are overpriced considering the quality of the product. Don’t get carried away by the tall claims made by this French company. It is not worth the high price. Go for an Indian alternative, At least you will not need to pay such a high price and also end up rejecting the glasses after a year because at the rate at which it is going, it will end up as a useless piece of junk full of scratches.
