Macho man and doe eyed girl. A happy film !!

Macho man and doe eyed girl.

This film title makes you ready for a OZZY male with some thread related to crocodile, CROCODILE DUNDEE, this film ran in my city for 3 months on its release, the distributors in India were very happy that this film did more than expected business.

There is this man who is a hero to a lovely Linda Kozlowski (Sue Charlton) a American reporter

who is impressed with the survival skills of Mick Dundee in the outback , a small town called walkabout creek, there could be a place like this in Australia, its a very big country, I remember a film about Australia (Under the Capricorn) there are very few other films dealing with Australian

life or Australian people. Anyway this was a very enjoyable film.

I liked very much the humor and charm of Paul Hogan, he looked fantastic and very pleasing in his

role of (Michael J. ’Crocodile’ Dundee ) Sue comes to meet him in Australia and he takes her

around and show her the place where he faced the Crocodile, Sue is shown making calls to New York to convince her Newspaper to give her expenses for this coverage, the story starts with us being Introduced slowly to this character who we all came to recognize as CHROCODILE DUNDEE.

John Meillon (Walter Reilly) with his please don’t take my pictures were a fresh side to the

humor, we tend to forget that a film is made to entertain, if there is shown some prevailing

things in the society, why do films get negative publicity, this film had a controversy some

people found that it is showing criminals of New York in bad light, its not a big concern, it was

a entertainer, I am sorry I cannot say the same about 2 other parts (sequels) they could have

improved a lot if they were made in Hollywood, but the deal did not go thru. We all know

Hollywood would have made it more glamorous and very popular.

I remember very clearly the scene of Sue Charlton and Paul Hogan in the lift going in their

hotel, the way the girl was interacting with Paul Hogan looked more like real life emotions than

some acting, the chemistry was very good between the lead pair, I enjoyed the Big knife shaving

and the telling of the time by seeing the sky, the 2 people start to impress each other and they try

to see thru each other, that part was very good. I mean there were some scenes like the door man

of the hotel repeating the greetings and there was a constant effort on the part of the story

writers and director to high light the character of Dundee, he was made to look like someone special a hero all thru the film, people are repeating his words, fast woman want to do him favors, his greetings to everyone passing by his side in New York was very funny in itself. Fish out of the water is the analysis I heard people described these situations with, but I think it is normal for any OUTBACK resident of AUSTRALIA when he comes to New York to behave like this.

There are some things get stitched in ourselves, like the sayings a LEAPORD CANNOT CHANGE ITS SPOTS, its could be a real person from Australia and he could be doing the same things Paul Hogan did, I mean we are not documenting the lives of those people, how do we know, but when this is shown as entertainment, it looks so funny and enjoyable that we all remember this film over a period of 20 years. It looks like only yesterday I saw this film.

I love to see Linda Kozlowski, she is a very good looking actor, she married right after this

film, Paul Hogan, I like to believe that the chemistry in between them looked too real to be considered acting, anyway the subway scene was very emotional and very enjoyable, we have villagers in India, I will always say , people from villages are more innocent and more good in health than city folks. This analogy is very relatable to this film.

I like the way Dundee behaves and does what a man should do in the situation very well, all people

he is dealing with in New York try to use him and keep making him look stupid and silly and they act as the smart nothings, its a fact of life that real blokes are usually sidled by wise looking

folks, that is why we keep seeing innocent looking humble folks progressing better than the wise

cracking and scheming type of people. This study should be taught as a law of science to everyone.

But alas we tend to follow the puffed up cocks of this world.

Yo real heroes are people like us. Superman, Batman, Phantom are an abortion of our minds.
