I was wanting to buy Apple Itouch since a long time. Come Diwali and there are tempting offers all around. So with my Bro, I dropped in Croma-Aundh to check out the Itouch. there was an offer: on 8Gb-Itouch you get some brand dock with speakers(worth Rs. 2500)
The Mrp of this Itouch was Rs.14400/-
I was happy and wanted to buy immediately, but, it was out of stock.:-(
So I thought of trying in Croma-Ishanya. On the way, I went to a small electronic shop to see if they had some in stock. To my surprise, the Mrp of Apple Itouch 8Gb was printed as Rs.12, 400/-. To top it, the trader was offering it for Rs. 12, 100/-
Just then a thought came to my mind.why don’t I check Croma-Ishanya? So I headed there, only to find out that the Mrp of Apple Itouch 8 Gb was Rs. 15800/-. The same offer of dock with speakers was available here too.
I asked the salesperson the reason for difference in pricing in the two Croma outlets, to which he replied coolly.each outlet has different offers and prices. Ok I had enough.I went back straight to the shop on MG road and bought it at 12100/-
I amazed at how these big malls fool us people by giving freebies by increasing the Mrp of the goods. It’s an eye-opener for me. and hope for the reader too.after all it’s our hard earned money:-)
