I brought LG led tv from jayanagar, Croma. after bargain I got for 70+ k and I though it was good deal. tv was delivered next day and installed 2 days after purchase. I told the sales guy to send new piece and dont send the display peice. he told ok and said tata owns croma and never does all those thing.
once the TV is installed I was skeptical about the piece as it doesnt look like new piece. I went though lot of googling to know about display piece and came to know we can check packing, scratches on tv, thermocol to know whether its new piece or display piece. retailers cant pack the way manufacturers pack.
I saw the packing was not good, there were plasters all over place. thermocol inside the packing was broken and it is sticked with plaster. I understood its used piece.
when I went to croma to complaint abt this after 7 days, the manger over there not ready to check the piece or refund or replace. he said the sticking might have done by LG . not croma(his argument croma being tata which is the most trusted brand in india . he must be kidding) and its already 7 days and my argument was how come lg does sticks the broken thermocol. the usage hours on tv are 120+ hours in 7 days( so I should be using tv 17+ hours every day)
I am planning to go to consumer court and raised complaint with LG as well . I am sure I will not get refund or replacement but just wanted to give a try
. anyways try to avoid croma and best thing check everything before you sign when you got the delivery form other stores as well. dont go by size of showroom or there brand name. go by your eyes. best option is cash on delivery if available(coz once retailers suck your money no way you will get the money back).
