I like to share my experience with croma, so you can be saved from lots of headache and trouble. The summers has started and I need to buy Air Conditioner. I did some research and start looking for Air Conditioner. I choose one at Croma store - Aditya Mall, Indirapuram. I asked sales executive about details and features of the product, he had no idea about product whatsoever. Alright, having done the research already. I didn’t needed much details from sales guy.
Sales guys told me "sir installation can only be done after 48hr of delivery of product" (Is it some kind of rule?, I didnt know..I have bought Air Conditioner in past). I ask him why cannot you do it on same day of delivery, he told me "Sir Voltas people will only do the installation and you need to pay them rs500/-". Things move along..billing was done..when I saw the receipt..I was freaked-out, they hav included 500/- for installation, which is voltas going to do and I have to pay them. I asked them to correct, first they tried to convenience me otherwise instead of accepting their mistake.
I was using my Tata Cr. Card so I asked them to redeem my rewards points..I had accumulated 1k plus. The Guy who is whole sole in-charge of reward points redeemption said "Sir your card have only 91 points". I thought may be point has lapsed because I didnt redeem them but when I came home and checked with customer care of Tata Card, I find out the I still have 1k point, that just didn’t know how to do redemption.
Invoice is prepared (18-Apr-10) and they promised to delivery it on 19-Apr-10 (12:00 - 5:00 PM).
They didnt call to fix particular time to delivery so I got worried weather they to delivery it or not. I called them, they said it will be delivered by 5:00 PM. By 5:00 PM, noone has appeared from croma to deliver my product so I called them again, they made some lame excues the again promised that product will surely be delivered today. I asked for contact details of delivery person as they were already on way, so that I could cordinate with them.
I waited till 7:30 PM and called when noone appear to deliver my product. Some guy picked up and told me..he will get me the contact details of the delivery person and reason why delivery is not made til this time. He also asked me to wait till 9PM, product will definately delivered today. I called at 9PM to found out that helpline is not working after 8;30PM.
Waited all day and still no delivery of my product and no information when it is going to be delivered and why it is not delivered by specified time in invoice.
Having been fooled by Croma people all day, by eveing I realised that every person from Croma was stalling from the begining.
Why are lying to customers and make fake promises.
Having learnt lesson for live, I made a promise to myself that I will not got to Croma even if they give same product for half a price.
Please avoid going to CROMA - Aditya Mall, Indirapuran.
