*CROMA stores sells its own in house brand products** by the same name. **But BEWARE. They may be reasonably priced, but they are generally China outsourced cheap products. Worst still, Croma which is TATA company won’t stand by its warranty obligations or provide after sale service.*
I went to Jubilee Hills Hyderabad Croma store to buy Philips Blender / Slush Maker. They didn’t have that. Sales person suggested a ’Croma’ make brand which was very low priced compared to Philips. He persuaded that it is Croma’s own brand and comes with the backing of Tata’s strength. It came with 2 years warranty and he suggested that I can buy additional 2 years extended warranty also which I did. I was told that if the product went bad, it’ll be replaced immediately.
Indeed it want bad within the original warranty period itself with less than 2 minutes of daily use. I took it for replacement. They informed me that the product has been discontinued. It will be checked and repaired if possible. I had great difficulty getting it repaired and have to contact Croma helpline several times.
Finally I was informed that it had been repaired. While checking I wasn’t convinced but they insisted it will last.
*Again within 2 days the product went bad again. I believe it was a safety hazard the way it was repaired in the first place itself.** They had simply done a quick fix job on it after my repeated reminders.
*This time I wrote to Croma Customer service at customersupport@cromaretail.com but since they don’t give a damn to their customers they didn’t reply or take any action till date.*
*This is not a very expensive item and I retain my right to go to consumer forum. But I thought I must make potential Croma customers aware of the pitfalls of buying a product from Croma stores and particularly the Croma brand products. This store is really giving a bad name to Tata company.*
DON’T FALL FOR THE TRAP OF LOW PRICE OF ’CROMA’ BRAND PRODUCTS. TRUST ME. QUALITY IS ALSO LOW AND THEY DON’T STAND BY THE WARRANTY THEY OFFER

**It appears that Senior Management at CROMA RETAIL took cognizance of this feedback on MouthShut_Official. I was contacted (on my cell) and requested to return the defective item back. I was asked to take anything else in its place (of equal value) since the item in question is no longer available with CROMA. I exchanged it for yet another Croma product (a portable fan) from nearby Croma Store (Karkhan Road Hyderabad). Though I’m satisfied, it would have been better had they took the warranty issue seriously earlier when I kept writing to them**
