I went to buy a new laptop from Chroma, was browsing through the options available there, one recently joined guy came for assistance. He sounded genuine , still I managed to keep my dream configuration in mind. Wasn’t quite satisfied with the options. They just had only one laptop from toshiba.
While spending some time there another guy approached me, he seemed to be experienced. Started giving me so many tips and advices. He introduced me Acer 5830T brand and started the misguiding business.He was damn pushy that when I said I am not ok with this model, he started saying like ’This is the best one available for you and they just have only one piece available, it has 8 hours battery backup and so many. I ordered it and he assisted me in cleaning the lapop and I must be dumb as well to say "Ok"to him, He helped me to get the receipt, Between some one came who looked like their manager.
The fraudster started whispering something to him.I seriously though its nothing related to me or my product. After billing he disappeared, he didn’t even get me other stuffs like warranty cards etc. I had to cross check it myself. later I found some serious issues with the laptop, cud clearly see scratches on it, cud see other Acer laptops with better configuration that too with cheaper price. When I discussed about the scratch, that junior guy went to the fraudster, and told the same. he replied like, billing is done na, then what? (he might havnt seen me there), I was really shocked to hear that. Didnt rise my concern there as I though nothing would be possible after billing. I asked that guy to check why the display is just LCD only when there are other laptops with both LCD and LED options, He said its there, Just not written in product description (And should I believe that?)
I will never ever forget this experience. Tata guys should really think about avoiding such instances and keep the reputation rather than cheating the customers with frauds like this. I could see other customers complaining about their habit of leaving them once billing is done. This is highly unacceptable and deplorable.
I will tell this to everyone in my company who have a plan to buy laptop from there as a precautionary measure to avoid them being fooled by losers like the above.
