My boyfriend gifted me a Sony Vaio laptop from Chroma since my laptop crashed and I absolutely need a laptop for my work purposes. He got the piece at Rs. 8, 000/- discount and was told this piece was limited in stock and hence the discount. He happily purchased it for Rs. 39, 000/- and on using within 10 days numerous problems arose.
After asking him, my boyfriend told me that this was a display piece and maybe thats why it was giving trouble and we figured thats why they had a discount on it too!
We had Chroma send it to the Sony service center and after the problem not getting solved, and several visits I asked for a replacement. They said I could look for another piece since that exact one was not available any longer. Due to the mental frustration and the extreme discomfort caused to me and my work with this issue I asked them what discount or what best they could do for me if I picked a higher priced piece since I didnt have a choice. Not only did they not even consider my request, but were so aggressive with me, like as if they were doing me a favour! They had already kept me waiting at the store for over an hour while they figured out what other solution could be offered, and in that 1 hour hadnt come up with anything! No one in the store(even though they were all interested to hear the conversation the sales manager was having with me) even offered me a seat nor a glass of water. After 2 hours of STANDING and being almost in tears, I asked for a complete refund since there was no other laptop I wanted. After much disagreement, they finally agreed and said I would get it in 3 days by cheque.(I am yet to see if they fulfill their word).
Worse of all, now I have no laptop, and I feel so ill-treated after this incident. They didnt even have the decent customer-service attitude to apologise even once for all the inconvenience caused to me and my boyfriend, not even when I mentioned just how disappointed I was by their extremely poor service and attitude.
DONT EVER buy from CHROMA! They should be SHUT DOWN!
