I first saw Tata Croma store in R-city mall in Ghatkopar. Tata Croma stores are huge, spacious and have a good variety of products. Besides this, they have the Tata brand attached to it. However that could be one reason why I find them expensive. There are not much offers/discounts with the products I’m interested in. The service staff are helpful and generally knowledgeable.
In the last year or so, I’ve already brought many items from Tata Croma including a DSLR (Nikon D3000), a printer (HP 2200) and an Apple nano ipod. Thankfully I haven’t had any problems with any of the products bought from Croma stores till now. Which is why, I’m wary of buying from any other places like ezone or vijay sales in-spite of the higher prices.
They also have this extended warranty policy where they insure your products for two extra years after the existing warranty has expired. Don’t know much about the effectiveness of this extended warranty as it is still a long way away.
All in all, I would say it is a decent store for all your electronics need, if you’re willing to look beyond the lack of offers/discounts. A peace of mind from the expensive stuff you’ve just bought is more valuable in my opinion.
