Don't pay upfront: They are scamming us

I ordered a split ac on Feb 18, 2023. When I was ordering the product, the delivery date was being shown as Feb 20, 2023. After they took the money, the delivery date was changed to February 22, 2022. Now, February 22, 2023 is over, but the product has not even been shipped. You cannot track the order because no real-time tracking information is provided .


I have been trying to follow up with Croma customer care to know the delivery status since yesterday; however, they will tell you that they have raised a request(three tickets in my case) and that the concerned person will get back to you but that person never does.


The modus operandi seems to be to display all fast-moving items on the website regardless of whether a product is available or not, make the customer pay upfront, do not respond to any queries about delivery status, and let the customer cancel the order when they realize the scam because by then Croma has already kept your money for almost a week and will continue to do so for another 3-4 days before processing the refund.


It’s best that you only opt for cash on delivery products and not buy anything from Croma that requires upfront payment.


I do hope you avoid getting scammed like I was.


It’s a shame that even companies that are owned by the Tata Group are resorting to such cheap tricks.
