~~~Cute Cures, Fresh and Easy, Cuticura Days!!!~~~
Soaps, Sandal sticks and powders (say fragrances in general) have a quality to transport us in time on its affect on our brain system.   Read Mysore Sandal soap reviews in Mouthshut and you will come to know how people associates certain soap and smell to individuals and time.   For me, my childhood memories, especially of summer are associated with Cuticura. I wonder if it arrives from two words, Cute and Cure. I mean the powder means both, it makes you cute and it cures as well.
My best of memory of Cuticura is about me and my family members all using from single tin of Cuticura bottle during a time not many powder brands or perfumes are in the market.   It was very common for me to apply this powder in armpits and behind neck. In summerdays, when the heat pimples attack my bare back the only consolation was Cuticura which hold the itching for minimum of half and hour and if lucky, to one hour. That was a relief! I can say.
If we were going for any function this powder will be covering our faces and if we don’t use it, assume the function is not important. Such was the importance of Cuticura in our early life.
When we look for details today, the powder had medical qualities to sooth pain and itching.   It has a quality to absorb moisture.   (We even today apply an ayurvedic product called ’Rasanadi powder’ for children to dry up the head after bath. During those days, if ’Rasanadi powder’ is not available, it is the turn of Cuticura.) As per the web site of Cuticura, ’the active agents/ingredients are Zinc Oxide and Menthol which helps to provide relief of pain and itching and protect the skin.   It provide temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites, minor skin irritations, as well as dries the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac.   The same can be used for foot comfort, i.e. Dust over feet and into shoes and work as excellent for excessive perspiration. In summer, it can be used as soothing and colling to sunburn and irritated skin’. I can see that those relieve during summer days were real.   I can feel that the protection given to our body was real.
The powder used to get to us in two different shape of tin boxes. First with an excellent oval like shape and the second with rounded shape.   The colours of the tins, Orange and white are still fresh in my mind. Even after finishing the powder, we used to use the tin boxes for saving our money in it or to keep glass balls we play.   It was worth money and more!
We had to be little vigilant as well to purchase ’Original’ of the product and we used to purchase it only from the trustable stores, where there had many people who will selling duplicate Cuticura boxes to fill tapioca powder down and some Cuticura powder on top to cheat the customers!
The smell of Cuticura is special, in fact very special. The mild fragrance can transport me few decades to behind, even today!   Don’t stare but tell me what is your favorite food? I am sure that is something you really enjoyed eating in your childhood. So is some smells and products which we keep closer to our heart for Cuticura is closer to my heart and any day I can go for Cuticura with the name or the smell.
We can see new appearances and products from the brand Cuticura.   (Cuticura Original, Lavender Mist, Pink Passion, Charming Champa & Sandal Sensation) They all must be good but I am a fan of the classic i.e. the Original one and that is for real!
