Hi Everybody....
its me once again...
Surprised when I said that Cycling is the Future?
Just think of it... how many more two/four wheelers are our roads capable of handling? what will happen once this planet runs out of the fuels(especially with the war looming on the Middle East)...
Of course a bike/car is a smarter and faster way to go from point A to B... but I would say a cycle is the smartest. Ask how? My anwswer would be... U may look smart on a bike/car but everytime U ride a cycle U only get smarter.
It is a perfect excercise which builds ur cardiovascular system... give you enough muscles and the stamina and believe me once you get used to it... you neednt have to take out special time for the gym to get rid of those few extra kilos that you may be wearing for you wont have any once you start cycling. And the good thing is it will take you from place A to place B free of cost with no sound or ail pollution what so ever.
Talking about mileage... if you calculate, the average distance a bike goes by burning a litre of petrol, for the same amount of energy a cycle will take you something like 350kms. Isnt it effeciency at the best? And it just isnt the efficiency of the cycle but also speaks of the wonderful machine that the Human body is...
So if you wish to lead a fit and healthy life and want to give the coming generations cleaner air to breate then start cycling TODAY and let me know after a month how much you saved on your fuel bill(10% of it will be my fee for the advice LOL). While everyone todays goes for a vechicle... you can be VERY DIFFERENT from them by cycling. And did U thik of the headache you will be saving urself from at the parking lots?
Did someone say that all that is OK but it doesnt goes fast? Think again buddy... may be you are not aware of the type of bikes available in the market today. Get a latest model with all those gears and hit a flat road and you will be surprised to find yourself overtaking most of the motor bikes (atleast in the city) infact I find a cycle to be a faster mode in city once you are strong enough.
To give you a hint, I have a race cycle which is a decade and a half old... and I have crossed 70kmph quiet a few times... though I am not in practise... I can still hit 50kmph with ease...
As rightly said... Rome was not built in a day and you might not get all the strength on the very first day U start cycling. It might take upto a month and something like a 1000kms by the time U feel the gift of health U will be encompassed in. By that time U will have built enough strength and stamina and will also get to know ur self and the bike better.
And if you love nature then go away from the city on a cycle and U will realise what U have missed on that same road in a car or a bike... U can feel the wind on your face and listen to each and every music of nature, be it the sound of the leaves, the cripping of birds, the frogs croak or just the wooooo ing wind.
Time to get of this chair and burn some calories... I mean I am on my way home... YES U got me right... I come the office on my cycle also... :)
Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy life...
Take Care.
