Not Real But Hard Hitting

We have seen various movies based on D Company and some of them are really fabulous. D-Day goes in-line with those brilliant movies (such as Company). The story talks about Iqbal (Dawood as we know) and his connection with Pakistani agencies and how RAW (Research & Analysis Wing) is trying hard to bring back Iqbal from Karachi, Pakistan to India.

Arjun Rampal, Irfaan, Huma Qureshi (of Gangs of Wasseypur fame) and one more guy are a team of four people from RAW. The team is trying to bring back Iqbal from Karachi and target him when he’s attending the marriage of his daughter to a Pakistani cricketer’s (Javed Miandad) son. The story revolves around the mission and the characters involved in this mission. Each one of them have their own weaknesses with respect their own life.

The best feature of this movie is the performance of individual actors. They all are simply awesome. Rishi Kapoor as Iqbal rocks the show while Irfaan and Arjun Rampal are also brilliant with their act. There’s a pace in the story and you won’t feel relaxed even for a single minute, especially the first part.

There’s not much melodrama in the movie but there are quite a bit emotional moments as it normally happens in the real life. If you like action packed movies with grey characters - you will like this movie. Don’t go for this if you are not interested in the life of a gangster.
