Hello people,
I am the first official customer of this router(GLB-802C) in Kerala sold by digicom - the wholesalers.It is 6 months now.from the past 3 months, I am in total despair.this router is very problematic with
1)Overheating
2)2.5minute or 5 minute(common) DSL link disconnection
3)Inconsistency in its working.use pppoe-discovery command in Linux to see why router sleeps when it feels so, not routing!
I am expecting to give the router for service soon.the predecessor for this router 502T also faced these same issues, except that firmware updates are available.but for this router - no firmware updates to fix these problems!
although above are true.
While it was working properly during the early days, it was really fast and very responsive.I was very Happy(Later to repend).
D-link must close their shops in India if they are not really dedicated to stable products.I dont have money to waste for your research and development thingy like this GLB-802C one.
The router was priced around Rs1650/- when I bought it for the first time - that is 6 months back.so the price is a little High.
I would anytime recommend some other Linksys router or Netgear one.
Good Luck!Stay away from this router until the d-link fellas fix the niggling issues with this rotuer and more firmware updates released.

EDIT:12/5/2009:The 2nd replacement router also failed!wow!Now Got another replacement which I am using.No problems for the 3 days.
EDIT:3/4/2009: I had this router dead(all lights flashing) as of now.have to try replacement under warranty.
PS:My First router was also dead after 3-4 months usage and got the replacement.and now it is dead.
