The 56kbps external model no. DFM-560E is a solid, stable and fast performer. Have used it at many places since 1 year, it can give upto 50 kbps actual speed and holds the line like a leech. Ive recommended it to friends, and theyre happy too.
On the front panel, it has a Mic and a Headphone socket (both of which I’ve never used) and plenty of LEDs for displaying the various status information.
The SuperVoice CD comes bundled. This is a basic fax software that works very well. Installation is straight-forward. With it, you can send a fax directly from your Word document or any other program.
For example, to send a fax from Word, you “print” the document not to your printer, but to the fax-driver that appears as a printer-driver in your printer-list. It starts the SuperVoice program, in which you type-in the destination fax-number and click on Send. That’s it. The fax will go. And the output that will emerge from the recepient’s end will be crystal-clear without any dropouts and smudges. Makes a good impression on the recepient and avoids mis-communication.
To receive a fax directly into your computer, you must start SuperVoice. When the sending party dials your number, SuperVoice will give you a choice whether you want to treat the incomming call as a fax-call or a voice-call.
SuperVoice also has an Address Book (so that you don’t have to remember fax numbers) and many other convinience features such as Broadcast, Voicemail, etc.
