This is in particular about the D-Mart at Malad (W), Link Road. The following things strike as something that they need to improve INSTANTLY. If their management is listening, here goes:
1) Space Inside - If you dont have the space, then dont stock the goods. Half of your space is taken up by your own people pushing trolleys with your stocks. It is inconvenient for your customers. We feel cramped and claustrophobic.
2) Space Outside - In case you did not know (and going by what I have seen, you dont know much) - the foorthpath is for people WALKING, not to park the vehicles of your customers. It is utterly disgusting how you have encroached on that space.
To add to that the road outside is cramped with the cars of customers who come there and the rickshaws. Who has given you the right to do this?
3) Vegetables in fixed quantities - You dont have loose vegetables at all. That is the strangest thing ever. If I want only 4 tomatoes, you stock packets of 10. Same for other vegetables.
Of course that is all due to lack of space. Do something about it. No one wants to buy stuff like this and those who do buy due to lack of choice. That can change in the future.
4) 50 paise - I am sure that you dont have 50 paise to give back to your customers. But instead of giving everyone the number either rounded off lower or higher, you choose to give 50 paise chocolates but you dont take those same chocolates back from your customers.
WHY? If your system cannot round it off, then stop insulting people by giving them chocolates. Should I pay you with chocolates after buying stuff worth Rs 1, 000. Will you accept it? The obvious answer is NO and the reason you will give is that only when you dont have change you do this.
Can you tell me how many such 50 paises you avoid giving to customers? You have over a 1000 bills generated a day I am sure. Even if on half of those you do that, then you are avoiding giving back 250 Rs. In a month that is 7, 500 Rs. Just round the damn system off and end this nonsense.
Today an old man asked your counter guy "At this age you are giving me a chocolate. Dont you know I am supposed to avoid eating this"? Is that what you want to hear from your customers? I sure hope not. 50 paise isnt much, but peoples sensibilities are.
I for sure am not shopping at your store henceforth even if I have to go to Evershine Nagar or Hypercity. Shopping is supposed to be a pleasant, comforting and soothing experience.
At your store, it is a pain. Hope you come to your senses soon.
