It was a wonderful experience and Value for money trip for us.
For bookings my sole contact was Lokpriya at Dpauls. He helped me alot in regards to trip and was prompt.
I was apprehensive initially when I read few negative reviews about D pauls but there were few good reviews also.
Tickets and Intinery was sent to us few days in advance and they also called to confirm if we want to get some foreign currency before we leave. They sent an agent to my place with the discussed amount one day before the trip as discussed.
It was a 33 people Group and I liked the way the divided this group in to couples and Singles in to different Hotels and Cabs with different guides.
On Reaching Bangkok Mr. Bobby really helped us and gave few tips which really came handy later on.
On reaching Pattaya we were contacted by Sara( The Guide). She was very helping and Gem of a person. She made our trip comfortable in Pattaya and made us feel at home.Indian food was provided to us as promised which made our life very easy.
After spending 2 Days in Pattaya we reached Bangkok and as promised we were upgraded to Suites. In Pattaya we were taken to Alcazar show, Coral Island, Underwater World and World Gem showroom. All other activities like Para Sailing, Under water Diving, Jet Ski or other rides are optional and can be done at your own expense. If you are in a large group, try to bargain. We missed this chance and paid 1200 BHT per person for under sea diving where as the next group gave 700 BHT PP for the same thing. The Hotels were 4Star equivalent. Mr. Prem was our contact at Bangkok. He was trying to help us but always in hurry with no specific plans. I am sure that he had too much on his plate to handle. We missed our Guide Sara in Bangkok.
We were not properly guided about the places and were dropped at markets without any Guide.
The Schedule for sight seeing was changed without even asking us. Before leaving Bangkok we went to reclining Buddha and were misguided that Recling and Golden Buddha are same. But my friend couple had already been there so they caught this and we all felt cheated.
Over all it was a nice trip but Bangkok part could have been better .
In short, I would recommend Dpauls for a Family trip. One advice, Please plan any tour with max number of people or atleast one more couple friend if its possible. Its gonna make your trip much better and memorable. Reason; First, You have few more people with whom you can talk or enjoy and secondly, you will never get bored.
The more the merrier!
PS-
1.Refrain from exchanging currency and buying simcards at Airport. You will get better deals outside.
2.Thai people are not that Cordial, specially shopkeepers so expect rudeness from them. Bargain only if you really want to buy. As an Indian you are representing your country there and they have made a perception for us which seems to be difficult to change.
Always carry Local currency in small denominations 10, 20 etc for tip etc.
Never get in to argument with Local people.
Always Carry water bottle with you.
Bargain reasonably
At last, I would never want to go to this country again the way Thai people treat or talk to Indians.
