D says a story of a don DESHU(RANDEEP HOONDA)with his friend raghav (chunkey pandey) who climbs steps of success in their short career, but Another don, his master (goga kapoor) and his 2 sons arent happy with deshu success, and then the Battle starts between these people, as a normal hindi movie viewer you expect BLOODSHED and Police encounters but the Climax Leaves you Spellbound, and at the end it also says Crime never Pays.
The story of D may be witnessed many times in Indian Cinema, but the Director Conveys the story in a refreshing manner, he also Deserves marks for arresting the viewers with Powerful unpreditable Screenplay.The first introduction scene of Deshu to gang members is Expectly executed, Ditto for the Fight between Isha, chunkey and Sushant.
Now to performances, Frankly speaking, To say that D belongs to Randeep Hoonda would be an Understatement, The actor just doesnt delivers Dialogues very well, but he also Conveys a lot through Expressions, His Unshaved look, his gamut of expressions, moreover the effort that he has made to enact this character is Exemplary.Here is a performance to watch!!(Arre Tuhje to is Performance ka liye Filmfare award milna chahiye).Chunkey pandey Delivers a Brava Performance, he compliments Randeep at every step, the Actor may not have had the best lines to say, but his presence Registers a stRong Impact, What a comeback.Goga kapoor is as always First-rate.Sushant singh is Outstanding, Yashpal sharma is Effective.Isha and Ruksar(as Randeep gf)are Lovable.
The dialogues may sound a little Heavy to Sexy and posh ears(ohh my god)but they suit the Movie Of this Genre, Cinematography will Surely Blow everyone Sockets Off, The lanes of Mumbai, the white Shaded Scenes are too good and they suit the setting of the movie.Background Music is another Department where D scores, it can be best expressed in one word’’SUPERB’’.Editing Department have used their Scissors Effectively.
On the whole, D is a magnificent example of Master storytelling, moreover when you have Superb Performance on board it becomes Even better.D is a must watch.A surE shot WINNER.
