‘D’ for Deshu, the hero or rather the main killer in the movie.
The prequel to company as it says, reminds us of Ramu’s earlier takes on the underworld, Satya and Company. An innocent boy who loves power decides to join the underworld and within a short span of time, becomes the main man of the Goga Kapoor’s gang. He wipes off all the other gangs and their gang becomes the undisputed power in Mumbai. His popularity and increasing say disturbs Goga Kapoor’s sons; Yashpal Sharma and Shashank Singh. They plot to kill him but do not succeed fully. In the end, Deshu wipes out everyone and becomes the king of Mumbai.
The acting of Randeep Handa is amazing as he played a joker in Monsoon Wedding. The movie has a different style wherein people speak less and say more with their eyes. Acting of all the persons is quite good. Chunky Pandey looks nice as a gangster with his beard and sporting colored shirts. Isha Koppikar plays a bar dancer and is looking as beautiful as ever.
Handa has a good future and his acting style, voice and general get up in the movie reminds of Vivek Oberoi in Company.
