Be cautious when choosing Videocon as DTH Operator

To share with you the recent few bad experiences, Set Top Box(STB) was replaced in July because the existing one had technical issues. For replacement, it costs service charge 150/- and additional STB replacement charges.


Within 2 months, it again had issues, after calling to customer care, the only option they give is a representative visit which charges us 150/-. They have no other mechanism to check to save our money.


While representative visited, it was again STB issues and it had to be replaced again. After iterating multiple times, service agent asked coordinator about warranty but coordinator informed it is not under warranty. I had to call up customer care and they confirmed that it is under warranty. The information is mismatched at customer care and coordinator which was about to lead me additional cost.


Since it was within warranty period, still they do not have courtesy to waive off visiting charges 150/-. That means there is no commitment about quality of product and every visit charges us.


This gives multiple learning:




  1. There is no quality commitment from videocon d2h.




  2. Coordinator and vodafone systems are not in sync.






After service agent fixed the issue, the channels are still flickering. Please refund the amount 150/- and make sure there is guarantee associated to the service provided.
