First I bought this product lurked by very cheap offers and got in the trap this product is totally worthless, the main issues which I faced are
1.There service is worthless comparable to BSNL
2.the recent problem I am facing is that I recharged my account with a recharge card of rs 300 to my surprise the recharge card was told invalid now I am totally stuck I called their customer care and explained the problem they simply told me to go to the dealer and resolve the matter with him. After reaching the dealer and explaining he called the local person’s of videocon and explained the matter to them and still now no response from them and even the dealer is angry at them and their work such that he told me that he would not continue the business with videocon d2h the dealer is trying to help me but the local videocon people are really worthless.To my shock I it came to my knowledge that this kind of incident is common in videocon d2h still I am waiting to resolve this issue if not resolved I will not continue with this piece of junk.
3.The signal are horrible even at slight clouds the signal breaks and will not be able to watch any thing until the clouds clear here in Guwahati its cloudy mostly and the d2h don’t work unless it a sunny day.
4.Their customer care person are totally non technical fellows don’t know any thing about technology the most common answer to any problem you will face is that "Power Of your DTH for 2 hours and if the problem persists call us".I this this they are taught in their training.
5.Now why you should not buy it TECHNICAL REASON
1.They dont use indian satellite to downlink the signal.They have collaboration with foreign satellite
thus the signal is low and easily breaks in rain.As the foreign satellite are purely not focusing for
india .
2.The device(setup box) is very cheap type and the software has very slow response compared to
other setup box except sun dth(both are same more or less)
3.It would take 10 to 20 seconds to switchover from one section to other which is very annoying.
4.May be the device is a Chinese make.
- issues in recharging even I am facing the problem.
6.The dish the sets in your roof top are gigantic(due to low signal) compared to other dth easily blown away in strong wind and you will be charged to again to reinstall.
My recommendation
It would be better to go with Tata Sky Or Airtel they have good reception as they uses INSAT satellite
and works even in heavy rain not like d2h which surrenders itself to just cloudly weather not even raining
My friends and family member has created a joke for D2H "when ever the d2h signal starts to breaks off in your TV , be sure it will rain in 10 - 20 min" and its works....
This device has became like a weather forecaster in my family.......
