Videocon D2H - Don't ever choose it!

I have had two bitter experiences with this service.


First time this is what happened:




  • I paid for a year in advance for their most advanced package HD and everything.




  • they sent some third party guys to install the dish. Those guys did not even bring a signal gauge with them. Did a pathetic installation and got lost.(They took money for the entire length of the cable though the first 10 metres of cable is free.)




  • Whenever there is a strong wind we used to lose signal and finally it got completely cut off. I had to call the service for a week and they sent a real technician and fixed it.




  • Then this happened. Though I had paid for one full year they stopped the service after nine months. I called the customer care several times and they kept saying that I had paid only for nine months and not a year. One day, I decided this is it and called them and shouted at them. I asked them to give the phone to a senior guy. That guy also said I had paid less. Finally, I found my credit card statement and called the customer care and shouted at them to give the phone to the same senior guy. Then he apologized and corrected my account balance to last for one year.




  • Now in the end of February 2016, I recharged my account for 6 months(not trusting them for one year any more but still taking the risk for six months). Today I started seeing a stupid error on the screen which says something weird like "DSS permanent error message. Recharge your account to continue."
