We purchased videocon this year- 2010. The installation was done immediately and the service was started.
There were pre monsoon rains in the month of May, the dish service went down, The technician came after 2 days and it was rectified. There were more rains in the month of June, July the service went down again. This happened 4 times.
Again calling the call center people. The call center people have peculiar habit of cutting your phone so you need to call them all the way again. They will pretend to keep your phone in engage tone for long time. You will frustrate and cut the call the call center people had his job done that you yourself cut the call.
Again the same story the engineer will come after 2 days and get it rectified. We lodged 4 complaints, whenever there are even smaller rains, the videocon service goes down frequently. You will not be able to see channels.
It appears that people should not watch TV during monsoon. The call center asks first question if there are rains in the area. I suggest do not go for videocon if you are living in an area where there are even small rains.
