Videocon D2H - HD Box Substandard Product&Service

It appears the Videocon D2H has found an innovative way of making money.


Update those HD boxes which are out of warranty with faulty firmware, so that it just irritates the consumer. -


The issue I faced after the warranty period was the HD box gets updated with a faulty firmware on its own, then it does not start up for anywhere between 5 mins to and sometimes to even 10 mins.


The customer care executives are excited to let us know that we are out of warranty and are happy to send their technical guys with a service charge and a HD box replacement fee.


when It looks a common complaint from out of warrantied . boxes of the customers.


Its not so big deal to update a firmware with a faulty firmware based on a date right? even a 10th class can program that these days.Don’t we see a trend? looks all made up. Nice way of making a non revenue generating team(customer service team), generate revenue for you guys, Keep up the good work, benefits your Brand Big time.


Will look for a service provider who is not as smart as Videocon.
