Have been using this product since the last 1.5 years or so, and my review is from then onwards. I guess am reviewing it a bit late. But better late than never.:)




  1. Bought the DVD set top box with universal remote for some INR 3000.




  2. As soon as they installed it I could see it had extra brightness/contrast issue. They said do proper settings on LCD TV and it will be fine.




  3. I read online of similar probs for other people and called the customer service(CS). They as per their routine said to restart the set top box, n 2nd option to do some settings, n 3rd option to reset the set top box. After all this and may be calling them 3 times, they finally agreed to take a complaint! then after some days the technician came, saw it n repaired set top box. Problem solved.




  4. During 2010 monsoon, it continuously gave digitized broken videos(like when a dvd gets stuck) and then it went on to display the annoying technical error for almost every channel(some of my fav eng movie channels were it’s prime targets:D) .




  5. After repeated calling their CS, they told since it’s cloudy n raining the signal will be weak and cannot be repaired. After monsoons it continued, I complained back n then they fixed it with a mere antenna direction change.




  6. then set top box developed some prob n it would distort some channels after some time after start. Again after repeated calls to CS n performing their stupid mandatory routines.they sent technician who fixed set top box circuit with a soldering iron! problem solved:)




  7. Remote stopped working all of a sudden. Thankfully they replaced it without extra charges, may be as it was within 1 year of purchase.






a. still the remote response is poor/weak and have to sometimes press a button more than once.


b. And when changing from non favourite channel to favourite,  n wanting to jump back, it won’t work.


c. Current channel program info is wrong 50% of times and is very irritating. Moreover, when changing the channel this info is not populated at all and it just shows empty boxes.


The only good thing may be that it’s monthly subscription is cheaper than most other dth services. But considering all the above, I certainly do not mind paying 25/50rs more per month.


So, all in all I have been dissatisfied with the product and would not recommend it. Have seen tata sky before n it was not this bad for sure.


Note: if u want to shift this to another location, better call their technicians directly and they could do it for half the official charges.;)
