A blend of tradition and modernity......

For long people in india have been using oils on their hairs for maintenance, for increasing bulk and length of hair.

No doubt it is proven fact that no foreign element can enter the root of the hair, no foreign element can enter the skin to give strength/benefit what so ever.

India being a tropical climate, one tends to sweat a lot resulting in sweat accumulation on the scalp and scalp looking /feeling dirty. And the extremes of the climate takes a toll on the hair.Even water plays a role in the overall aspect of having good, healthy hair.To top it all stress also adds up to the ordeal.Hair oil lubricates the scalp, provides sheen and protection to the keratin layer(that which is exposed to the atmosphere) of the hair from the harmful UV rays of the sun and also provides protection to the hair and scalp from day to day pollution. And does not allow the external factors to affect the hair

Dabur with its more than 100 yrs of traditional experience in ayurveda and with the modern needs have definitely come out with a wonder product in Dabur vatika hair oil,

1 )Henna in it is a conditioner but people down south consider henna to be cool (which can result in your catching cold)but these are perceptions not reality.

2) Amla is considered good for maintaining blackness in the hair.

3) Lemon in it, has astringent properties and is also considered very effective in controling dandruff.

4) Coconut oil has been the best oil for the hair since time immemorial.

I have used Vatika and have found that it not only protects the hair but also ensures the attack of dandruff is minimised. It has not resulted in increased loss of hair/fall of hair.It is not that sticky like a traditional hair oil.

One can apply the oil post bath in the morning and take the benefit of its coating through out the day and wash it off in the evening.

My procedure of application has always been apply it in the night, rub it on to the scalp, apply it to the hair from the scalp to the tip, and go to sleep.

Next day can remove it from the scalp by washing it with shikakai powder, a good shampoo or an anti-dandruff shampoo.

I suggest if some one wants to try it should go in for a smaller pack and check it out whether it suits their type of hair/skin etc., before buying a bigger pack.

Since it is ayurvedic and herbal chances of any allergy or non suiting is quite remote.

A good product from a good, reliable and strong company.
