Cielo GLE-1996
Having owned the car, it is the love and passion towards the car that makes me write the second review about this car.
Cielo is a kind of car that is meant for people who are reallyCAR LOVERS. This car would be really trust-worthy and good friend if the car owner has a passion towards it rather than only keep commuting with it.
RetroFitment I have made with the car:
Alloy Wheels [ Twenty thousand bucks for all the five wheels, including the spare wheel].
Spoiler [ 3, 500 bucks]
LPG conversion Kit [ Zavoli MPFI engine compatible kit].
Before fitting the LPG conversion kit I was in a dilemma whether to go for it or not. As many of us have a prejudice that LPG fuel would reduce the engine life, I too was not an exception. Later after consulting with lot of experts and reading various articles I discovered the following truth.
LPG is a more efficient and less polluting fuel than petrol [gasoline].
The carbon deposits in engine and fuel exhausts are reduced when LPG is used as fuel.
Reduced knocking rate and better acceleration.
Cheaper in price than petrol and soon would be available in more fuel dispensing stations all across the country.
Performance of the car in Petrol/LPG:
If you find any differency in performance between petrol and LPG then take your vehicle to a good LPG kit servicing engineer and get it fixed properly.
Many people have a false notion in their mind that LPG run vehicles would have 10% less power. Its never so. We shoud know that many western countries, including US, use only LPG as their vehicles fuel.
My car behaves in LPG same as it would in petrol.
Mileage figures:
Petrol LPG
City 10 10
Highway 16 15.66.
The minor difference in highway mileage is that in petrol we tend to drive a bit slower and stay judicious minding about its high price compared to LPG.
Acceleration:
Petrol LPG
0-100 13 s 13 s
40-100 20 s 21 s
40-100 26 s 28 s
(5th gear)
